Principal's Message
Dear Families,
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you back for the 2011-12 school year! We trust that each of you has had a restful summer and is as excited as the Dibert Staff to get back to work on our mission to prepare 100% of our students for college, careers and a successful life.
We are very proud of the academic determination displayed by our students last year. Their reading gains are a clear example of the progress that can be made when parents and teachers work together. We look forward to holding each child close as we work to ensure that every child is academically at or above grade level. We will do this by developing quality relationships and creating academically rigorous classrooms that are engaging for our students. Teachers will provide small group instruction customized to the different skill levels of each student. Our report cards and progress reports are standards-based and give you an ongoing look at the skills your child has mastered and will help you support him or her at home.
At Dibert we have the highest expectations for student behavior so that students and teachers can focus on tehir most important goal: student achievement. We have created a school that is positive, warm and inspiring for students while being calm and orderly so learning and teaching can thrive. Our school culture is defined by our FIRST values: Focus, Integrity, Respect, Self-determination, and Teamwork. Developing this set of values will help students do well in any setting.
